Quick-change addi­tion­al axes, either sin­gle-axis or dual-axis, fea­tur­ing mod­ern direct-dri­ve tech­nol­o­gy, are avail­able for a vari­ety of appli­ca­tions. In addi­tion, inter­change­able auto­mat­ic tail­stocks are avail­able for 5‑axis machines; these are mount­ed on the neck of the C‑axis and sup­port long, slim workpieces.

Shrink technology

Roed­ers first­ly used the shrink-fit tech­nol­o­gy for HSC machin­ing back in year 1992. When it comes to inter­fer­ing con­tours and slim tool­hold­ers, shrink-fit hold­ers remain unri­valled. Roed­ers offers its own shrink-fit unit and shrink-fit hold­ers for all spin­dle types.

Tool holders

Tool hold­ers have a sig­nif­i­cant influ­ence on machin­ing qual­i­ty. They deter­mine the tool’s con­cen­tric­i­ty and, con­se­quent­ly, the machin­ing accu­ra­cy and vibra­tion behav­iour. Roed­ers there­fore offers high-pre­ci­sion tool hold­ers, but can also pro­vide recommendations.

User-specific work piece clamping technology

For spe­cialised appli­ca­tions, par­tic­u­lar­ly in auto­mat­ed pro­duc­tion, the engi­neers at Roed­ers devel­op clamp­ing sys­tems for the direct clamp­ing of work­pieces, so that they do not need to be mount­ed on pallets.

Automatic tailstocks

For 5‑axis machin­ing of slim work­pieces, a sup­port with an auto­mat­ic tail­stock may be nec­es­sary. Auto­mat­ic tail­stocks that can be installed and removed using a quick-change chuck are avail­able. The auto­mat­ic tail­stocks are clamped on the “neck” of the C‑axis housing.

Ultrasonic excitation

Brit­tle-hard mate­ri­als such as glass or ceram­ics can be processed with ultra­sound. For this pur­pose, a sys­tem for ultra­son­ic exci­ta­tion of the tool is avail­able, which is ful­ly inte­grat­ed into the machine and con­trol sys­tem RMS6.

Suction devices

Roed­ers offers pow­er­ful suc­tion devices for all machine mod­els for graphite, ceram­ics, oil mist, emul­sion etc. with spe­cial fil­ter technology.
